The Elite Release & Giveaway!!

Sorry for the lack of updates—my computer actually crashed :( It was pretty crushing since I had quite a few files that had not been backed up on the hard drive, not to mention a few reviews that I had been working on and was about to post. So my updates may be a bit spotty for a bit until I can get my computer fixed!

But onto bigger and better things! A huge congratulations to the wonderful Jennifer Banash for the release of her new YA novel, The Elite! And for those of you who do not know what this fabulous book is about, go here for my review! And don’t forget to check out my interview with the talented and hilarious Ms. Banash here!

To celebrate the release of The Elite, Ms. Banash has most generously donated 2 copies of her book for a giveaway!
All you have to do to put your name in the hat for a chance to win is leave a comment with the usual:
- your name
- your e-mail
- and answer these 2 questions:
1. Which city would you most like to live in??
2. Who is your favorite designer?

(So some of you are probably wondering, what's with the random questions? Well, the queen bee and her posse in The Elite are fashion experts living in the city that never sleeps, NYC--so I'm curious, which city would you like to live in, given the chance? & Anyone have a favorite designer??)

For those of you who left a comment for my interview with Ms. Banash, you get an extra entry for this contest, if you wish to enter. Those people are:
- BooksandLove
- Chelsie
-
Tasha
-
Lenore
Thanks for commenting, guys! Everyone else is welcome to still comment on the interview, but sorry, only those 4 people are eligible for an extra ‘interview comment’ entry.

But if you’d like to post about this contest on your blog, myspace, etc, just send me the link and I’ll give you 2 extra entries!

Please enter by June 24th (midnight, EST)—winners will be announced June 25th.
Sorry, this contest is only open to those living in the US and Canada.

And don’t forget the Swan Kingdom giveaway is still going on as well!

2. I really like the season 1 winner of Project Runway, Jay. His line that won him the competition was so awesome!

-The city I would love to live in would have to be Rome or Venice. How cool would that be?
-I'm not sure I have a favorite designer. I'm only into clothes I can afford..haha....

I would want to live in Miami, or somewhere in Florida because Florida seems like such a nice place to live.

2. Who is your favorite designer?
I'm going to follow Alea's lead and talk about Project Runway... Season... 2? 3? Whichever season had Michael in it, he was my favorite. He was awesome. But other than Project Runway, I don't really pay any attention to designers...

Alright here goes:
1. Which city would you most like to live in?
I'd most like to live in New York City probably. It just seems like such a great place to be, there or LA , but a nice part of LA. ;]

2. Who is your favorite designer?
My favorite designer...I have to say that I don't have one. I wasn't raised with designer clothes and have only heard of them really or seen them in magazines, but to me they don't look all that special, so yeah. I honestly don't have a favorite designer.

Thanks!

I think I would like to live in Sydney, Australia or London, England for the international category. For the close to home catefory... Even though I live like 100 miles away from it, I think Sedona, AZ would be GREAT!

Favorite Designer is a toughie. I am not much of a fashionista. Anything that is cute, is good by me!

1) I really want to live in either Indianapolis (no particular reason other than John Green lives there), or in New York. I love New York...or maybe Sydney, Australia. I don't really know. Somewhere other than here.
2) My favorite designer is Versace...or Jimmy Choo. I'm not that crazy about labels, but anything by either I would buy if I had the money.

As you can probably tell, I'm an indecisive person.

1. I would LOVE to live in London. I've never been anywhere in England and would love to go..so if I had to pick a city, it would be that.

2. I'm not that into clothes..and definitely not designer, unless I like the way it looks. That's all that matters to me..if it fits and I like it, not what name is on it. But then again, the price too..so i probably couldn't afford it! HAH!
For guys, I like the Tony Hawk line. It just looks cool/casual..and for girls? I honestly don't know!

Thanks for having this awesome contest!
1. I think I'd like to live where I'm living right now. The Twin Cities, MN are both pretty large and you get all of the big city vibes but with some amount of quaint-ness and not as rushed of a feel.
2. Okay, and this isn't even a designer, but I'm going to be a total hick and say Target. Now before you guffaw, think about it. They actually have some decent clothes and at cheap prices too. I love the Isaac Mizrahi stuff from there. And you can't be a Minnesotan without loving Target; their headquarters are here for goodness sakes!

2. I have to say Marc Jacobs because I love his flats.

I'd love to win!

My favorite city is Zurich, so clean and such good hot chocolate, and my favorite designer (to look at, not to wear!) would be Yohji Yamamoto - more like art than clothes!

Cool contest :)

I am actually not that into big cities - but I would mind spending some time in NYC (never been!)

Favorite designers are those who design for Etro. Beautiful clothing!

1. New York City. Because they have a GREAT H&M (which is my favorite store) and that's where Stacy & Clinton (from TLC's What Not To Wear) are.
2. Puma. Haha, that's so not a designer. I don't do designer stuff. H&M is my favorite place to get clothes, Puma is MY shoe store, and Abercrombie is good if I want to spend some money. Other then that, I have no answer.

Yeah, and I'd just like to say that Christian Siriano is my very favorite Project Runway winner. I loved his hair. 1. It was totally fierce! and 2. He looked like a parrot. Too bad he's gay... :(

I would love to live in NYC or London, although any city (the bigger the better and as long as I'm in downtown) works for me.
I don't really have a favorite designer because I never really wear designer clothes but I do love things from Charlotte Russe!
