Harry Potter Giveaway!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will hit theaters July 15th in the US, so to celebrate I'm hosting a Harry Potter-themed giveaway! But HP6 is not the only reason for this celebration, the paperback version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is also hitting bookstores this month--July 7th, in fact!

So up for grabs are 5 paperback copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! The five lucky winners will also receive a Collectors' edition gold pin!

-------

Synopsis
courtesy of B&N.com

It all comes down to this - a final face off between good and evil. You plan to pull out all the stops, but every time you solve one mystery, three more evolve. Do you stay the course you started, despite your lack of progress? Do you detour and follow a new lead that may not help? Do you listen to your instincts, or your friends?

Lord Voldemort is preparing for battle and so must Harry. With Ron and Hermione at his side, he's trying to hunt down Voldemort's Horcruxes, escape danger at every turn, and find a way to defeat evil once and for all. How does it all end?

-------

Visit Scholastic's website for more Harry Potter-related activities, information on the books, and more!

A favorite moment in the HP books?
This is hard. I love when Ron takes the love potion on accident, but there are a ton of great ones besides this of course.

My favorite Harry Potter book is the the Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved the story and for some reason, it just always has been my favorite since I was little and it first came out. I must have read it 15 times. (and yes... on my original copy, the pages are falling out!)

My favorite moment in the Harry Potter books is in the Chamber of Secrets and everyone just found out Harry could speak to snakes. I really liked that part, and whenever anyone asks me this question, it always comes to mind.

My favorite HP book is the last one. I just loved how everything wrapped up even though it made me sad, but that's definitely part of the reason why I loved it so much :)

My favourite book is the very first one. JKR set up everything there, and managed to cathc enough people that the rest of the series was anticipated.

For some wierd reason I couldn't answer your questions on the bookish metions #3 post so I'll answer them here. 1.Which movies do you find most faithful to the books (or plot or characters of the book) they were based on?- I thought Lord of the Rings was perfect!
2.Which one was most disappointing? Inkheart because they left a ton out of the movie
3.With plenty of movies based on books coming out this year, which one are you looking forward to most? I hear that Maximum Ride, Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games, and City of Bones are coming out maybe next year so those. But for 2009, Harry Potter 6! +1
